Spaces - beyond the end of the world:
John Hardy The above work commissioned by Vivace Singers with support from the Arts Council of Wales and the PRS Foundation received its premiere over the weekend of 24 & 25 June 2006. Playing to full houses at the Chapter Arts Centre the premiere weekend marked the beginning of a longer-term project which will look to add more movements to the existing cycle of seven as well as involving school children in their own compositional projects based on the theme of "spaces - beyond the end of the world". If you wish to receive further information regarding the project then please contact Vivace Singers or John Hardy. We were delighted to make our début at the above festival to critical acclaim. If you wish to receive copies of any reviews please contact us in the first instance, although we do hope to publish the articles on the website soon. The performance included a world premiere entitled Haul Yr Fynydd by the Cardiff based composer, Gareth Peredur Churchill which was composed for us in late 2005. We also performed the whole of Grace Williams The Dancers with piano reduction and hope to perform this a number of times more during 2006.
